30 weeks already! All of a sudden it seems so close and there’s so much left to do! According to the baby books, I’m supposed to be “nesting” right now and starting to set up the nursery… I wish. This week we finally got word back from base housing, and we finally have a house! We don’t get to move in until the 18th of next month, so it’s going to be a jam-packed last month of pregnancy! Hopefully this little guy can stay in my belly until his due date (March 16). If you haven’t been following me on Instagram, I’ve had a ton of fun posting baby bump pictures, including the chalkboard signs that I’ve been tediously creating along the last 7 and a half months. I’ve put them all up on here to see the progress from day 1!
While I can’t put baby Ski’s nursery together yet, I have been sewing like crazy! I’m a huge fan of coordinating, and the best way of doing so is to just make everything myself. Even though my husband is completely over the fabric store, it’s been kind of fun having him help me pick everything out for our little one! I fell in love with the Aden + Anais blankets after seeing them in every baby store, and on every single “what to buy for baby” list. I found some super soft muslin/gauze at Hobby Lobby and recreated my own versions of the amazing swaddlers. I will continue to post my plethora of sewing projects as I finish them!
Now as far as shopping goes, my dad took me shopping when I went home for Christmas, and he introduced me to the baby department of Nordstrom, which I fell in love with. Living so far away, my parents really want to be involved in the baby’s life as much as possible. It was really special for them to pick out the outfit that we’ll be bringing baby boy home in! This little white polar bear fleece is the softest thing I’ve ever felt, and the backup gown is absolutely genius! I’m new to the whole baby clothing thing, but I was amazed to see that the bottom will snap into pants to buckle him up in the car seat. I can’t wait to bundle little baby Ski up!
